After a few days of acclimation, my new Lyretail Anthias (Pseudanthias squamipinnis) has gotten over its initial shyness and has come out to play. Like most Anthias, he is a rather picky eater. He will eat only whole mysis shrimp soaked in a vitamin-enriched, highly unsaturated fatty acid food supplement. Anything else gets spit right out. Since mysis is the staple of my feeding program, his preference is not a special order. Below are several badly taken photos of the fellow. Since he is constantly in motion, the slow shutter on my point-and-click makes getting a good picture difficult.
