State of the Belly

Wow, it’s been a month since my last post. I’ve given up on being topical. I’ve got too many other things going on. I’m in the gym 10 to 15 hours a week doing such things as weightlifting, spinning, pilates, pilates on the Allegro reformer, step aerobics, kwando strike, and powerflex. I’m also jogging, trailrunning, mountain biking, and geocaching. At the moment, I’m building a new bike based on a Soulcraft steel hardtail frame. In addition to my athletic adventures, my reef aquarium takes up alot of time. Much of that time involves simply sitting back and watching it, however. It has grown dramatically and sports all kinds of new toys.

So, future updates will be related to my ever growing number of hobbies. I’m retreating from world events for now and am instead immersing myself in my interests beyond computers and politics. If you’re not interested in aquaria, marine biology, literature, cycling, or extreme amounts of physical exertion, you likely will be bored out of your mind by the content here. Trying to be thoughtful and topical was becoming work. Further, I’ve been working with the Internet for over a decade and with the web ever since there was a web. I’ve been there, done that. The novelty is wearing thin. The weblog thing still holds interest for me, but it is no longer capable of captivating me quite enough to incline me to spend as much time posting as I once did.
