The chef/owner of our favorite restaurant, Abacus, has opened a new restaurant, Jasper’s. While Abacus offers contemporary global cuisine, Jasper’s specializes in the best of American regional cooking with an emphasis on grilled fare. Jasper’s dubs itself “Gourmet Backyard Cusine”. There’s nothing backyard about it, however. As with Abacus, the food and decor are flawless. The only problem is that it’s way up in the northern burbs. Oh well, Abacus is only 5 minutes away. We can’t expect to have them both in the backyard.
