Tracking WordPress Development

Those trying out the nightly builds for the WordPress 1.5 beta often ask what changes are going into the nightlies. The bug tracker generates a handy changelog that lists bugs resolved as fixed. Almost all changes being made right now have corresponding bug reports which are resolved as soon as a fix is checked in. Browsing the resolved bug list is a great way to see what’s going on since the bugs describe the problems being fixed and often have informative discussions in the notes.

If you want to see the actual code being changed, visit the CVS commit archives. Diffs for every change made can be found here. You can also visit the CVS repository browser with the file listings sorted by date. The most recently changed files will be listed first.

If you’re just interested in what files have changed, some folks are creating changed file lists for each nightly build.

Happy beta testing.
