With the holidays upon us, a new baby Boren coming next month, and a new admin design to implement, we’ve decided to push the release of WordPress 2.4 out to January 24th of next year. I updated the roadmap with the new date.

Whoops, I didn’t realize that release dates for as far as 2.6 were already planned too.
May I suggest the next update be called “Charlie Biddle”? He made Montreal’s Jazz scene something special.

Is a mockup or demo of the new admin design already available? Can’t wait to see it, as I find the current one rather ugly, to be honest.
I read that a number of big-name apple blogs running wordpress sites have recently been hacked. Will there be a patch to the current version to fix this/these problems?

I must say that I am a bit underwhelmed (maybe my expectations where too high), but apparently the new design is far from finished so it might still change for the better.
