They are primarily pets who also happen to do some scrub control. We milk them once in awhile, but not regularly. We recently neutered all of our bucks, so after this summer round of kidding finishes there will be no more babies or milking. Just lawn mowing and being chased by goat obsessed toddlers. 🙂
