Nokia 770 Internet Tablet and Maemo

Planet Gnome is abuzz with news of the Nokia 770 Internet Tablet. The 770’s development platform, Maemo, is based on GTK+, D-BUS, GnomeVFS, GStreamer, GConf, Debian Linux, and other open source technologies. It’s pretty much the GNOME platform to-go. The sources are openly available, and some GNOME developers are already looking over them and making suggestions. This looks like a pretty cool gadget — one that will apparently be able to apt-get new software. I look forward to posting to my WordPress blog with one of these.
