In an effort to make the new Audio Post Format UI more useful, we added Rdio and Spotify to the default oEmbed providers list for WordPress 3.6. Spotify and @nicklas2k were kind enough to whip up an oEmbed endpoint for us to use. Thanks!
To celebrate, here are a couple of albums released in 2013 that I’m enjoying.
Michael introduces Freya, the new design for his site. Gorgeous. It is based upon the also gorgeous Kubrick. Not only are the designs attractive, they are usable. Form and function well met.
Kubrick was inspirational in the creation of the new theme support in WordPress 1.3. My goal was to make it easier for Kubrick to do what it does. To a great extent, the theme support was developed around Kubrick. Kubrick was ported to the new theme engine and used to develop the functionality and iron out the bugs. Without Kubrick pushing the envelope of WP’s templating abilities, WP 1.3 might not have gained a theme engine. Thanks to Michael for giving us a lovely design and making WordPress better.
