I’m teaching my kids the power of triangles by building big freaking triangles. You can feel each additional triangle add strength.
Once completed, this will have a house with a roof, door, bunk beds, and trap door as well as a small lookout tower. For now, it’s a pretty cool deck for chilling.
Next step, balusters.
Look at the work of I.M. Pei. He used triangles exclusively on the Louvre addition in Paris and the Hong Kong Bank in Hong Kong. It’s a pure structural form (hence the pyramids). Awesome little project!
Bunk beds and a trap door? I feel somehow like I’m failing as a father now for not providing these things. 🙂
I’m obviously trying to compensate for my other failings. 🙂
